Interior joinery
Skirtings, architraves, panelling, and shop fronts — the fitted trim.
SkirtingA board fixed along the bottom of an internal wall where it meets the floor, its lower edge shaped to follow the uneven surface it runs into.
PanellingTimber cladding built up as thin panels held inside a surrounding frame of stouter timber, rather than one solid board fixed to a wall.
ArchitraveA moulded timber strip fixed around a door or window opening, covering the join between the lining and the plastered wall.
Shop frontThe built timber frontage fitted into a shop's ground-floor opening, its window framing topped by a fascia bearing the name and a capping cornice.
